About us
We started this site because finding the right mental health training shouldn't be this hard.
Search for mental health first aid training and you'll find dozens of providers, each describing only their own courses, most keeping their prices behind an enquiry form. If you don't already know the difference between a two-day MHFA England qualification, a regulated FAA award and Scotland's SMHFA programme, working out what your team actually needs is genuinely difficult.
Mental Health Training UK exists to fix that. We're an independent information and booking service: we explain every major course in plain English, publish the typical prices providers charge, and — when you're ready — match you with an accredited trainer in your area or a place on one of our own scheduled courses.
What we believe
- Independence matters. No single provider is right for everyone, so we cover them all and recommend what fits.
- Prices should be public. We publish typical ranges so you can recognise a fair quote.
- Accreditation is non-negotiable. Every course we arrange is delivered by an instructor accredited by the relevant body.
- Training is a means, not an end. The goal is workplaces and communities where people feel able to talk — and know how to help.
Our courses and our network
We run our own calendar of open courses — live online courses that anyone in the UK can join, and in-person courses in a growing list of cities — all delivered by experienced accredited instructors. Where we don't have a scheduled course that fits, we connect you with vetted accredited trainers from our partner network across England, Scotland and Wales.
Are you a trainer? We're always looking to expand our partner network of accredited instructors. Get in touch and tell us where you deliver.
